Regenerative agriculture is entering a new phase. The conversation is increasingly moving beyond proving what is possible toward understanding what it will take to make regenerative systems work at greater scale.
Building Scale: What 65 Leaders Are Seeing Across Regenerative Agriculture in 2026 captures some of the strongest themes, tensions, and opportunities we heard during our Soil & Climate Alliance Summer Meeting, held in June 2026 at Rodale Institute and in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Drawing on conversations among 65 leaders from across agriculture, food, research, finance, and the nonprofit sector, the report identifies five signals shaping where regenerative agriculture may be headed next.
This is not intended to be a comprehensive state-of-the-industry report. Rather, it is a snapshot of what leaders across the regenerative agriculture community are seeing, questioning, and working through right now.. and an invitation to continue the conversation.
The insights in this report emerged from presentations, facilitated discussions, field visits, and informal conversations during the 2026 Soil & Climate Alliance Summer Meeting.
They reflect recurring themes heard across the gathering rather than the views of any single participant or organization.
A note on sharing: This report is intended as a resource for participants, partners, colleagues, and others working within the food and agriculture sector.
